Customizing Kiosk

Kiosk Client allows customization of the resources, so files may be changed as desired.

Important

• Files in the installation directory should NOT be modified directly. Modifying these files can cause issues during upgrades and maintenance.
• Custom modifications should be made manually in the Custom folder created by the installer in *C:\ProgramData\NEC\kiosk*.
• The subfolder structure in the Custom directory should mirror the structure of the installation folders
• Custom files will override those in the installation

Sub-folders or files / images in the Custom folder should be created only for the resources in the installation directory that require customization.

In the example below, customizations have been made for GDPR, MembershipImages, PackageImages, TCNotes, Themes, Translations and the "flowconf.xml" file. The subfolder structure in the "Custom" folder will look like this:

To make specific changes to each folder or file in the installer, please refer to the sections dedicated to them.

Kiosk Client comes with a README file located in "<InstallationFolder>\README.txt" that describes how to customize the resources.
