Guest Check-In Confirmation

The Confirmation Requests feature is only released in the Japan market.

This page is shown when the Confirmation Requests feature is enabled. It is used to confirm guest information during standard check-in or complete early arrival check-in after the guest completes the Signature page.

The time of the request, Kiosk Position, and Reservation ID are shown for all requests which require a Kiosk Admin user's confirmation. Clicking on the icon for a specific request shows the personal information for that request which is specified on the Confirmation Requests page.

The Kiosk Admin user may either "Confirm" (allowing the user to proceed with check-in) or "Deny" (instructing that check-in be performed at the front desk) each request.

How to get notifications

Once the Confirmation Requests feature is enabled, a button will appear below the user menu in Kiosk Admin:

//

Pressing this button will instruct the browser that Kiosk Admin wishes to enable notifications to be sent when a guest check-in occurs. Some browsers may automatically pop up a dialog prompting the user to "Allow" or "Deny" these notifications when this button is pressed. Others may show a new icon in the browser's location bar which must be clicked to "Allow" notifications.

Notifications are sent to Windows by the browser to provide both a visible and audible alert when a confirmation request is received.

The Kiosk Administrator application must remain running and logged in to receive notifications. Kiosk Administrator has a 4-hour idle timeout. After 4-hours of no use, notifications will stop being received and Kiosk Administrator must be logged in again to resume receiving guest confirmation notifications.

To receive visible and audible notifications on the PC that is running Kiosk Administrator, navigate to Windows > Settings > System > Notifications. Turn Notifications on and check "Allow notifications to play sound" and "Show notifications on the lock screen". This example is with Windows 11.
